Birds on Trees (carved pot #2)

This is the second pot I carved, I tried something different with it, after I stained it with red oxide I painted only the high relief areas and left the background bare, no glaze at all, The red oxide will give it an antique, woody look.This one is different that the first one, that was totally glaze. However,  I am still trying to find the right combination, I am carving like crazy, I will post more photos later.
